Das ikonische Nationalmuseum in Doha, das der Geschichte Katars gewidmet ist, wurde im Jahr 2019 erbaut. Seine Architektur symbolisiert die Wüste mit ihrer stillen und ewigen Dimension ebenso wie den Geist der Modernität und des Mutes, der kam und erschütterte, was zuvor als unerschütterlich galt. Die Inspiration stammt von Wüstenrosen, also Kristallansammlungen aus Gips oder Baryt.
