Maraya is a mirrored concert hall in AlUla’s Ashar Valley, Saudi Arabia, designed by Milan-based studio Giò Forma for the Royal Commission for AlUla. Completed in 2019/2020, it holds the Guinness World Record as the largest mirrored building, its 9,740 square metres of glass panels reflecting and dissolving into the surrounding sandstone cliffs. I visited Maraya during a personal trip to Al Ula and photographed it on my own initiative. The resulting set of 15 photographs follows the building through various part of the day, mixing wide exterior views with architectural details.
