Mottl's house

Architectural photographyInterior photographyHotel photography

The prominent Art Nouveau-Renaissance multi-purpose building on Jungman Square derived its name from its patron, Vendelin Mottl, a textile entrepreneur. Later, it served as the headquarters of the Czech Savings Central Bank. In 2018, apart from the parterre, it underwent extensive renovation to its original state with an emphasis on the pregnant conception of historical colors, especially the greens of the facade, windows, and floral metal elements on the grilles and balconies and the restoration of the two-tone slate roof. Since 1958, the building has been protected as a cultural landmark. My task was to create a series of 20 photographs covering the exterior (facade units and decorative details) and the interior of the current hotel.
